Banana Splits
A space for kids whose parents are separated or divorced
Banana Splits is a school-based group program for students who have experienced divorce or separation of parents.
The purposes are:
Activities teach children of divorced or separated parents how to help
themselves and each other. By creating a supportive community, Banana Splits aims to counteract the day to day impact of divorce and separation on teenagers and young children.

-to normalize feelings through sharing
-to train children in problem solving and coping skills
-to increase self esteem through mutual help
-to support parents and school staff in working with Splits kids
-to increase communication among children, parents, and school

FRIENDSHIP LUNCH
BUNCH GROUPS ARE BEGINNING!!!!!
HOW DOES A STUDENT BECOME INVOLVED IN FRIENDSHIP LUNCH BUNCH?
Students can ask to participate or be referred by a teacher or parent.
IF MY CHILD WAS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN A FRIENDSHIP LUNCH BUNCH DOES THAT INDICATE THAT HE/SHE IS HAVING A PROBLEM?
Absolutely Not! Students of all skill levels are invited to take part in friendship lunch bunch.
WHAT DO CHILDREN DO DURING FRIENDSHIP LUNCH BUNCH?
Students eat their lunches with their grade level friends, talk with their peers, and play games.
LUNCH BUNCHES TAKE PLACE DURING LUNCH TIME (ONCE A WEEK).
